The photographs captured are of ephemeral things that are given scant attention in our everyday urban lives. When trawling through the intense metropolis, one often crosses paths with these visual delights, sometimes in the bleakest of conditions. They offer an insight into the ongoing struggle between two opposing forces: the man-made and nature. Both competing for survival, attempting to exist and assert their power; a perfect metaphor for modern living in a chaotic city.

These photographs bear a strong relationship to the tradition of painting, duration playing a key role in the finding, composing and structure. From a moment of ennui, it began in 2005 now reaching completion. They are traditional hand prints from film.  This medium provides a more accurate rendition and translation.
